This global manufacturer of medical equipment has a long history of developing both innovative and reliable products. Their portfolio of equipment ranges from Endoscopy and consumable products through to a range of orthopedic implants and fixation devices. Although the majority of their manufacturing is done off shore it is all done in house, in either Europe or the US which ensures that they can fully endorse and guarantee their range. Here in Australia they have had a presence for over 25 years and in that time have built up a cult like following, amongst surgeons in particular, which has already given them a high percentage of market share across their ranges. This business has a training budget for everyone from MD through to receptionist, given the MD started as a storeman, this business demonstrates that once you are in the door anything is possible.

The Vacant Position

We are currently looking for an experienced storeman to work in a busy but organised pick and pack depot located on the north shore, very close to the train line. There is no heavy lifting in this role but you will be kept busy throughout the day, not only by the work but by the team who is extremely social and outgoing. This is not a standard storeman role and you can expect to be in a supervisory role within 12 months if you are the right fit. In your fist week you will sit down with your manager and work out a career progression plan for yourself through the business, that could be into logistics, IT, Finance, Sales or Marketing. You will be given training in all areas required and have numerous opportunities to get involved in project work in your field of interest. These projects will account for certain parts of your week given you not only invaluable experience but also variety in your work.

The Successful candidate will be rewarded with:

• A Base Salary of $45K - $55K + Super - depending on experience and qualifications

Experience Required:
For your application to be successful you will need to have a strong work ethic combined with excellent presentation and communication skills. You will need to have some sort of commercial understanding of the overall business rather than just stores focussed. You do not see yourself as a storeman for the rest of your life and you may never have been a storeman in your past, this company is seeking highly motivated achievers that want to prove themselves in a business before being given more responsibility.
