We are currently seeking an experienced Mining Logistics professional to join our client who is a mining owner and operator. Based in the Perth head office the role will be tactical and strategic with time spent on site as required. The principal function of the role is to lead and oversee the supply chain function for a growing mining company with the potential for multiple sites. Tasks will include : - Stakeholder Management of key suppliers locally and internationally.
- Managing an inventory database
- Ensuring emergency items are readily and cost effectively available
- Setting and maintaining logistics policies and processes
- Research and analysing new products
- Contract Negotiation
- Leading a small team
- Overseeing the transportation of potentially hazardous goods via ship, road and rail
