Our client is one of the largest exporters of high grade iron ore. Their current project is set to be one of the largest operations in the world and they are currently one of the largest tenement holders in the Pilbara region of WA. They are a company that stands behind the meaning of health and safety and values that of their employees.


What they are seeking is an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join their Perth based team. The objective is to provide high level technical support and supervision in relation to design and engineering services for mining. What your duties will include:


- Taking an active part in planning
- Provide technical support in feasibility studies for project development
- Purchase of major capital equipment
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for standards, procedures and practices in respect of the project


The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in a consultancy role and will possess high standards in communication both written and verbal. To be considered for this role you will also need:


- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years in mine design, planning, scheduling and reporting techniques
- Previous experience in surface / open pit mining
- Be proficient in design and scheduling software such as Vulcan
- Have excellent computer skills and knowledge.
