Our client is a mid tier high profit mining house that produces over 250,000 ounces of gold per annum from their 2 two current operations. They continue to evaluate opportunities throughout Australia and internationally which will create further employment possibilities whilst maintaining a high level of health and safety. Through their previous business mergers they have transformed into a leading global intermediate gold producer and explorer with a portfolio expanding from Australia to Europe and the Americas. With great leadership qualities, this particular company has been a true force on the front line of the mining industry.


What they are currently seeking is a Graduate Mining Engineer to join their team in an underground mine site. Previous vacation or work experience in an underground mine will prove helpful in assisting you to ascertain this position. Duties will include but are not limited to:


- Assisting in all aspects of drill and blast
- Mine scheduling
- Short term planning


The successful candidate will have the chance to really kick start their career within the mining industry and open new doors to this exciting world. You will have the chance to work along side some very experienced seniors that will help mentor you and broaden your knowledge as well as develop the skill that you already possess. What you will need:


- Tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering (masters will be highly regarded)
- General understanding of mine software packages such as Vulcan or Surpac
- Previous experience in underground mine (preferably but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills
