This factory manufactures concrete pipes using Dry Vertical Cast technology on two machines and a wide range of concrete products using traditional wet cast processes. These products are supplied to the construction, civil engineering and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cooperatively and safely lead a pre-cast production team;
• Effectively manage plant production, schedules and planning across a range of Humes products;
• Implement operational improvement initiatives and manage production variances;

• Ensure QA & QC compliances and specifications

• Manage inventories;
• Employee competencies, development and succession;
• Foster full and effective employee engagement and productivity and maintain good employee relations;
• Work effectively & collaboratively with NSW, Regional and National functions;
• Apply information systems for data measurement and production reporting; and
• Involvement in OIP, capital submissions, tenders, project activities, technology & innovation.

Qualifications / Personal Attributes:

• Proven experience in the pre-cast concrete manufacturing industry or an allied industry;
• Qualifications & experience relevant to the above requirements (e.g. engineering disciplines & project management will be well regarded);
• Proven production/project management and leadership experience.
• Commitment to safety and environmental management and improvement;
• Problem solving and analytical skills;
• Good communication, interpersonal and people management skills; and
• A strong team focus;
