Austral Mercantile Collections, a highly successful and continually growing division of the QBE Insurance Group, is currently seeking an experienced Account Manager for their motor and property insurance area. Working within the insurance team and reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will be the collection of outstanding debts in a professional, timely and effective manner whilst achieving set targets. You will be required to liaise with our clients, their brokers, debtors, other insurance companies, solicitors and courts as well as other internal departments ascertain the most effective course of recovery action. To be considered you will have a proven track record in debt recovery of motor vehicle insurance claims and be able to confidently determine liability and assess the viability of recovery action within a claims environment. You will also have a thorough understanding of the litigation process as well as strong communication and negotiation skills. You will have strong communication and negotiation skills and be able to relate to people on all levels. A knowledge of general insurance is highly desirable. Your experience, enthusiasm and drive to succeed together with your mature outlook will provide you with a platform to develop your leadership capabilities.
