This position reporting into the manager of special projects will have responsibility for managing mine site infrastructure and essential mine services to ensure the business is well positioned for significant expansion ahead. This will involve active participation in the identification of reasonable solutions around key infrastructure services including power, water, drainage and roads services. High level negotiation and senior stakeholder engagement with several EPCM partners for the purposes of managing the tender process of these services you will hold accountability for the end to end project management of all site based capital works. Largely site based in the Hunter Valley, this role will require travel to the Newcastle offices of specialist engineering consultancies engaged on the expansion study. This could include meetings, review of deliverables and for general workload management of staff representing these consultancies as the study progresses through the approvals process. To be successful in this role you will have strong experience in structural and civil engineering with project management experience in large scale infrastructure projects. Additionally you will be Tertiary qualified with supervisory experience in an Engineering and Project Engineering environment. Knowledge of hazardous materials, environmental protection requirements, and of quality assurance principles would be well regarded.
