Senior Project Engineer - Earthworks / Rail
This Top Tier Civil Contractor is currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to work on a large Civil & Rail Infrastructure project in NSW. The project is a rail and civil project based in the Hunter Valley.
The scope of works will include all earthworks, drainage, landscaping; civil structures, culverts and minor bridges; pavement layers, track formation; track realignment.
As the Senior Project Engineer you will be reporting to the Project Manager and will assist in the planning and delivery of programme of works, help supervise the construction work and ensure the project achieves all targets and goals agreed by the PM.
Your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Prepare, monitor and update construction programme
- Liaise with client, authorities and third party organizations
- Provide weekly progress reports and monthly project summary reports
- Assist QS with contract administrative duties, identify and report variations
- Help review invoices, claims for payment
- Assist will all technical matters on site, review contract drawings, technical specifications and participate in design reviews
- Assist the PM with all necessary purchasing of materials and services
- Ensure all compliance is adhered to for quality, environmental and OHS.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- A minimum of 6-10 years experience working on civil, rail or infrastructure projects
- An in depth knowledge of earthworks, track and structures in a rail environment
- Ability to manage multiple remote site locations
- A degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Railway construction experience
- Formal training in OHS
