Project Engineer          
 
Salary: NEG + Super
 
 
Due to continued company growth, an opportunity has been created for a Project Engineer to join a very successful project team. Reporting to the Technical & Project Development Manager, the primary responsibilities of this position will be to facilitate the development of projects from scope to delivery; Ensure all documentation is accounted for correctly and accurately; Ensuring the installed projects are compliant with the quality control analysis and effluent processing requirements. Provide technical knowledge and assistance to field operations where required.
 
The Position
 
The successful candidate will possess good broad knowledge of industrial engineering practices. Skills that can be deployed across a range of situations are an advantage, more specifically problem solving and the initiative to conclude and carry out a solution. Knowledge of and understanding of Australian Standards is essential, as is the candidate's willingness to learn, ability to handle difficult situations and comfortable in dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds and occupations. The ideal applicant must be able to organize their work effectively and cooperate with others in achieving personal tasks and work project objectives. A high level of verbal communication and interpersonal skills will be required in developing relationships with stake-holders and contractors.
 
Key Skills
  • Provide strategic planning, development, successful implementation of plant documentation
  • Co-ordinate construction audits & preparation of reports
  • Responsible for Project Estimates, reporting requirements and accurate calculations
  • Assist with the development of site plans, ensuring compliance with EPA Annual
  • Maintenance of all site and services plans using AutoCAD or similar packages
  • Project management and project design 
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience within the process industry
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD or similar drawing packages
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence staff behaviour
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • High level attention to detail
  • Tertiary qualification/s in Mechanical Engineering or similar
