My client, a multinational organisation, are a leading manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of Rolling Stock covering metros, tramways, suburban and regional trains and locomotives within the Transport sector.
Due to a new Rollingstock production project commencing in July they have an immediate requirement for an Mechanical Production Supervisor based in Melbourne. The project itself is a retro fit project on a large Project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise shift production team to ensure compliance with customer delivery schedule.
- Delegate workload per shift as agreed with Production Manager ensuring milestones in production schedule are achieved on time to required standard.
- Strive for continuous improvement and optimization of production progress.
- Ensure workforce is equipped with required tooling, documentation and material for assigned tasks.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Tertiary or trade qualifications in an Mechanical discipline are essential.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Production Supervisor role, preferably in the Rail industry or other heavy engineering sector.
- Competent in core production engineering principles.
- Proven man-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build a good team environment.
