Due to strong client relationships and a buoyant market within rolling stock projects across Australia, this leader in rail solutions currently has a number of job opportunities in their freight rolling stock division across Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

We are seeking Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers with experience working as a Project Manager or as a Project Engineer on freight rolling stock locomotives or wagons to the delivery and upgrades of new and existing fleets across Australia.

Reporting to the State Manager you will be responsible for, leading the pricing of bids, project management and project engineering of new electric locomotives, diesel electric locomotives, coal and container wagons. Preparation of business cases for the procurement or refurbishment of rolling stock new freight wagons and repair specifications for wagon refurbishment.

Successful candidates will have exposure to design, manufacturing, commissioning, operations or maintenance in rolling stock and have experience in managing the procurement of rolling stock, from contract award through to in service operation. It would be highly regarded if you have a strong appreciation of the commercial aspects of rolling stock.
