An exciting career opportunity has become available for a Product Quality Engineer to join their Engineering and Technical Department.

Reporting to the Engineering & Technical Manager, the prime function of the role will be to deliver sustainable improvements to finished product quality, by enhancing product technical standards, improving routine testing and inspection systems and facilitating detailed failure investigations. This work must be balanced with cost performance and customer expectations.

This “hands on” role will require the suitable applicant to have the capability to interpret and apply technical data and standards, as well as operate laboratory testing equipment. The role also pre-supposes an ability to develop and document robust systems of work and to be able to implement these through the organisation. Communication, both verbal and written, as well as listening skills, will be key to the success of this role.

It is essential that you have relevant qualifications in a mechanical engineering or materials science discipline (degree or diploma) and you must be able to develop basic databases in either excel or access and have the ability to use CAD programs. A background in the metal manufacturing industry is desirable.
