Electrical Transmission Line Designer - Newcastle, NSW
 
Design and Build are looking for a Electrical Transmission Line Designer to join one of the largest electrical distribution design firms in Australia. The firm is an accredited Level 3 service provider for NSW in the provision of Electrical Distribution Network design services.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Transmission Line design engineer to join their Newcastle office who currently service across utilities, with additional opportunities to support mining and heavy industry businesses.

• Providing technical knowledge to projects from development through design, construction, supervision and commissioning
• Performing detailed design to transmission lines
• Client interface
• Providing technical input to reports, to be presented to the client
• Developing business relationships with key stakeholders
 
Our client has experienced strong growth within the power industry. Over the past 3 years, they have successful increased professional workforce levels by 30% year on year. They are looking for a motivated distribution professional who is interested in being exposed to other areas of substation design where requirement. This is supported by professional development programmes and regular professional reviews.
 
To be eligible for this position you will have:
 
• 5 years+ experience in the power industry primarily in the design and Transmission lines
•  Consultancy or Utility based experience in Australia is essential- preferably within NSW
• Have a electrical bias with an electrical engineering degree and/or qualification
• Good technical understanding of the principles of transmission line design and solid design experience
• PLS CADD orientated Transmission Line Design experience, exposure of PLS TOWER, PLS POLE is also beneficial.
