Distribution Designer - Newcastle, NSW
Design and Build are looking for a Distribution Designer to join one of the largest electrical distribution design firms in Australia. The firm is an accredited Level 3 service provider for NSW in the provision of Electrical Distribution Network design services.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Distribution design engineer to join their Newcastle who currently service across utilities, with additional opportunities to support mining and heavy industry businesses.
- Performing detailed design for Overhead and Underground Line Projects
- Contributing to Tenders and Proposals and helping to grow business in the region
- Overseeing Projects from concept through to Commissioning
- Client and stakeholder interfacing
- Development of fellow design team members
Our client has experienced strong growth within the power industry. Over the past 3 years, they have successful increased professional workforce levels by 30% year on year. They are looking for a motivated distribution professional who is interested in being exposed to other areas of substation design where requirement. This is supported by professional development programmes and regular professional reviews.
To be eligible for this position you will have:
- 3 years + experience in the power industry, specializing on similar projects concerning Distribution and sub-transmission towers, lines and substations from between 11kV to 132kV.
• Have experience in the NSW power industry
- Consultancy or Utility based experience in Australia is essential.
- Applied working knowledge of any of the following software packages; PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE and PLS CADD would be highly regarded.
- Level 3 accredited service provider exposure.
