Our client is a well-established and quality service provider to the Energy Sector in South Western Sydney. Due to organic growth a new vacancy has become available for an talented individual to join the management team as the Manager of the Electrical Design team located in the head office in Tahmoor.

About the Position

Reporting to the General Manager the purpose of the position will be to manage the day to day operations of the design projects currently being developed and also management of preparation of tenders from inception to completion.

The team is small so your new position will be hand on and you will play an integral part in developing designs for a variety of above ground and below ground electrical connections for load for Rural, Urban- Residential, Commercial and Industrial subdivisions located in Sydney Metro and surrounds.

You will be expected to work closely with the General Manager on projects, however with time your position, identifying tenders and submitting all tenders proposals in a timely manner.

Ideally you will have previously worked in a position where you have been managing a small team or you are a senior designer looking to step up in your career to a more demanding and challenging position.

Skills and qualifications required the position:

• Previously worked in a similar position for 2- 3 years
• Possess an electrical background such as an, Electrical Engineer, Electrician or Electrical Fitter
• You have experience using Auto CAD or TURBO CAD or both
• Advanced Microsoft office suite Excel and Word Skills
• Previously designed all types of overhead and undergrounds network connections
• You are a team player and high level communicator
• Previously managed small teams, projects and worked with clients to deliver timely information
• You posses the ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time
• Able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with existing and new customers

About the Position

This position is full time position working flexible hours of 38 hours per week; it offers benefits of one roster day off per month a competitive base salary, superannuation and you will be a part of a friendly.
