You will ensure that all procurement matters are properly and effectively negotiated, documented and implemented according to project standards.  This position is responsible for the procurement & expediting delivery of equipment & materials to the construction site & that all procedures are undertaken according to company policy.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing delivery schedules, ITP''s and vendor data request forms to ensure that the expediting activity is planned around the scope work.
• Ensuring on time delivery of contracted goods.
• Ensuring on time delivery of the contracted documentation.
• Ensures that transport requirements for delivery of goods from supplier to end user are organised and coordinated.
• Tracks the delivery status of the goods.
• Where defective goods require returning to the supplier; coordinates and organises the return of the goods.
• Ensures that any special transport requirements for the goods are in place.
• Ensures receipt of the appropriate transport/shipping information is received from the transport contractor.
• Ensures that goods are tracked down after they are not received by the end user.
• Preparation and maintenance of delivery status reports.
• Assess transport costs submitted by the supplier/contractor, and advise the Contracts Administrator to ensure payment.
• Assists the contracts manager in the resolution of contract disputes.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise.
• Basic knowledge of contract law, useful.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Post-secondary qualification or equivalent
